Early voting has begun in most states and Election Day is just five days away. Patriotic flags hang from the library; People hang tiny American flags in their planters. and criminals, fraudsters and the Republican presidential nominee are all gearing up for the season by launching their campaign of election disruption and interference.

On his Truth Social account, Donald Trump posted that Pennsylvania – perhaps the most critical state this cycle – was witnessing fraud “on a scale rarely seen before.”

It’s easy to interpret this as a simple expression of panic: Perhaps Trump received bad news from his team and was trying to sow division ahead of an expected loss in the state. But Trump doesn’t just claim fraud when he loses. In 2016 upset Trump claimed he had overcome widespread voter fraud and won the presidency by claiming he had lost the popular vote. Even him a commission was set up by executive order to investigate the alleged fraud. It dissolved without finding anything.

The Trump campaign, the RNC and Senate candidate Dave McCormick filed a lawsuit v. Bucks County, a Philadelphia suburb that often serves as a catalyst for presidential elections, after some residents were reportedly turned away at early voting centers. District officials claimed it was simply a “miscommunication” and that they were trying to accommodate voters.
